Ane place to wait is windows updates.
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history. Ostend if any updates were installed on that date.
On the WIndows update page click on Advanced Options so Choose how updates are delivered.
On the "Chose how updates are delivered" page if the first selection is turned on, the MS is using your estimator every bit a "mule" to deliver updates to other people. That would business relationship for network employ.
As well check in the Recycle bin, if someone was using your organization and they were sloppy, there could exist deleted files at that place ("sloppy" because there is an selection to delete files without putting them in the recycle bin).

Is the TCPIPView utility safe to download?
Thank You Dave,

Hi Rohn007,
I went to the Windows Update History, there were no updates for eleven/16/2017.
I do not come across the "Advanced Options" on the Windows Update History page. Is there another method to get to the Avant-garde Options?
Is in that location a method to view what was downloaded on xi/16/2017 during a specific fourth dimension period? Something downloaded that used 15 GB, however, I cannot find it. I do know that information technology occurred on 11/16/2017 between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
Thank Yous,
Paulwayne

How-do-you-do, Paul, TCPIPView is prophylactic, I would not put you wrong . . .
Actually TCPIPView is more for monitoring your network activity should this sort of thing happen over again . . .
Equally for what was downloaded on 11/xvi/2017 betwixt v:30 PM and 6:xxx PM
There are 2 possible ways to detect that out:
1.
Open Windows File Explorer and double click on your C Drive in 'This PC'
Click in the Search Box
The Search Ribbon should become agile
Click Engagement Modified drop downwardly and choose Today
Then click the blue text in the search box, a calendar will appear
Select the 16th and requite it fourth dimension to search - information technology can exist a while
In the resulting search, you lot should be able to see what downloaded . . .
ii.
Click your Start Button, blazon Event Viewer and hit Enter
This will open the Event Viewer app
On the left, click the arrow abreast Windows logs to aggrandize information technology
For each log, click information technology and ringlet downwards through the events to find that date and time
This might give you some clue as to what happened at that time and what was downloaded . . .

Distressing, misdirected you. the Advanced Options is on the "Update Status" page
Pitiful, I do not know of any way of identifying what was up or downloaded during a specific time. There are many utilities that can monitor you lot internet utilise. The problem is that virtually of them focus on total book and speed. Very few provide any ID for the file or program that is doing the up/down loading.
http://world wide web.cucusoft.com/netguard.aspx#CheckHist... is ane exception I found in a QUICK search. Information technology at least identifies the program doing the traffic.
You lot volition have to practise your ain search to observe a better suited application to identify Time to come traffic.
This commodity tells how to use built in tools to monitor network traffic, including application doing the work:

How-do-you-do Dave,
I used the event viewer to view my PC activity for eleven/16/2017 between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. I run into several warning letters and mistake messages. It appears something was trying to download and install some apps or security files, I'm not certain.
Could I email you a couple of screen shots of the issue viewer and become your feedback? I really practise non understand what was occurring on 11/16/2017, but it did final for almost 2 hours and looks a flake suspicious to me. I practice not see a way to adhere screen shots on this community spider web site, perhaps I can respond back with the text?
Sorry for all the questions.
Cheers Dave,
Paul

Hi Paul, sorry i had to get some sleep . . .
Tin can you practice 1 thing for me:
Click your First Push button, type winver and hit Enter
In the resulting dialog, take a note of what version No. of Windows 10 you are running (1709, 1703, 1607 . . . etc.)
Due to the amount of data that has been downloaded, I am guess it was the Fall Creators Update that was downloading. If you are not running 1709, then that is the most likely scenario . . .
Of you lot desire to mail service screenshots you can exercise that here or upload them to the deject (DropBox,OneDrive . . .etc.) and mail service a link here and I volition have a await for you lot . . .
